PAIFF entrega trofeos físicos hechos a mano y, en ocasiones, certificados que reconocen los logros en la realización cinematográfica, la interpretación, la técnica y las distinciones especiales del jurado. Sin embargo, el cineasta o un representante designado debe estar presente para recibir el premio físico (no se garantiza). No enviamos los premios después del evento. No trabajamos con proveedores externos.

Los Premios Bimensuales forman parte del ciclo de presentación de candidaturas de PAIFF y reconocen solo 5 candidaturas tempranas destacadas cada dos meses durante el verano, el otoño y principios del invierno, culminando en 15 nominados automáticos/selecciones oficiales para el evento anual.Los Premios Anuales del Festival se entregan como parte del evento oficial del festival. Basta con una sola presentación para optar tanto a los premios anuales como a los bimensuales.

Sí. Los proyectos seleccionados bimestralmente se convierten automáticamente en selecciones oficiales/nominados para el festival anual, pero no tienen garantizado el premio. El jurado lo considera un premio aparte.

Sí, algunas categorías pueden incluir estipendios o incentivos especiales a partir de la cuarta temporada de PAIFF, pero solo los cineastas asistentes pueden optar a premios en efectivo y estipendios. Consulte las bases vigentes para obtener más información.

Outside of the live audience which heavily influences the final award decisions, our judges have access to all the materials submitted with the film. At the award stage itself, it's more about performance merits. The assets are not much of a consideration at this stage, although if a filmmaker isn't present to screen the film or accept an award, we often read snippets of their director statements to the audience.For our initial selection process, the film is judged on its own merits of which we have 12 areas of assessment we look at. However, our judges do consider all the materials, especially after watching the film and before scoring them. Additionally, there are technical proficiency points we give for complete asset kits, which helps with the tiebreakers, the maybes, and the close calls. Incomplete assets with submissions are frowned upon in the selection process. The more materials we receive with the submission, the more serious we consider the film.
