Puerto Aventuras is a private, gated residential and resort community with controlled access, which gives the area a very different atmosphere from many of the Riviera Maya’s busier tourist centers.Once you come through the gates, you are not entering a typical tourist strip. Puerto Aventuras has a relaxed, walkable, neighborhood feel without much of the street solicitation, crowds, or tourist hassle found in larger destinations. During PAIFF, we like to think that once you arrive, you become part of our community.The community itself includes major all-inclusive accommodations, including Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya and the Catalonia Riviera Maya/Yucatán Beach resort complex.Puerto Aventuras is also positioned between two of the Riviera Maya’s largest resort destinations, with Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya immediately to the north and the Barceló Maya resort complex to the south.As with travel anywhere, normal precautions are always recommended, but one of the things our visiting filmmakers consistently appreciate about Puerto Aventuras is that it quickly feels less like visiting a tourist destination and more like living in a small walkable Caribbean community for a few days.

Inside the Zona Touristica, there are 2 all-inclusive resorts: Dreams Riviera Maya and Catalonia. There is the PA Hotel & Beach Club. There are several air b-n-b and VRBO options as well as neighboring resorts like the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya and Barcelo Resort. You may also rent a Hacienda near the beach or a condo on the golf course. Many options are available within the community.

Our venues are all relatively close in proximity for walking but several golf cart rental options are available.

Cancun is the most resourceful, however we are also accessible from Tulum and Cozumel (additional ferry required).
