ACERCA DE PAIFF

El Festival Internacional de Cine de Puerto Aventuras (PAIFF) inaugural busca celebrar el arte del cine mostrando una amplia gama de películas de todo el mundo. Fundada por cineastas de renombre mundial Moe Taylor y Dewey Paul Moffitt. ¡Las películas de Moe se han proyectado en más de cien festivales de cine en el circuito mundial y han obtenido los premios más altos en más de sesenta eventos hasta el momento! Dewey Paul Moffitt es un productor de festivales veterano con más de treinta años de experiencia profesional en producción de eventos y ha producido todo tipo de eventos a gran escala imaginables. Moffitt también se une a Taylor como un cineasta consumado y juntos forman una formidable alianza de apoyo en el ámbito cinematográfico.

Puerto Aventuras, México, es un lugar ideal para un festival de cine internacional debido a su impresionante belleza natural y modernas comodidades. Ubicado en la costa caribeña de la Península de Yucatán, cuenta con playas vírgenes y aguas cristalinas, proporcionando un telón de fondo pintoresco para cualquier evento. Las inscripciones al festival se abrirán el 21 de diciembre de 2023 con una fecha límite para las inscripciones el 30 de enero de 2024.

Rules

Films must include a version with English subtitles (unless the spoken language is English). *Spanish subtitles are encouraged for non-Spanish films but are not required.
Screenplay scripts must be written in English.
Non-English music videos must have English subtitles.

For ALL projects, submitter must provide PAIFF with a downloadable full HD (1080p recommended) .mov or .mp4 digital file of the project for screening use at least 30 days prior to event (special "for preview" and "festival screening" watermarks are acceptable).
TRAILERS, TEASERS, and/or SIZZLE REELS for ALL film projects MUST be available for download upon entry submission in HD or 1080p format.

If project IS chosen as a bi-monthly early bird winner, then it will automatically qualify as a nominated project considered for the annual awards.

Entry and pass fees are non-refundable.

PAIFF does NOT pay or reimburse filmmakers for travel and/or lodging expenses to/from festival.

Fees

We only require ONE submission fee per project! PAIFF committee will thoroughly review and rate your project for an award consideration in ALL applicable award categories based on the type of film as laid out in the pricing structure below. Prices listed in USD.

Non-Documentary Features $30–$80

Non-Documentary Short Films $25–$70

Documentary Films $20–$65

Animation and AI-generated Projects $15–$50

Music Videos and Sizzle Reels $5–$30

Screenplays $15–$50

We consider all projects under 60 minutes to be shorts, and 60 minutes and over to be features.

Early bird discounts and special pricing for students,

FilmFreeway Gold members, and late fee entry prices are listed on FilmFreeway. Promotional discounts will be available to our instagram followers (@pafilmfestival). Waiver requests will be handled on a case by case basis.

Festival Passes

Prices for the 2026 festival will be listed soon. In the meantime, consider supporting PAIFF by purchasing Lifetime Member Passes starting at $900 (usd).

Lifetime Member Passes (LMP) guarantee member access to ALL screenings and red carpet events for the life of the Puerto Aventuras International Film Festival. Transportation and Lodging are NOT included in the LMP.
