A MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR: THE SITUATION IN QUINTANA ROO — WHAT WE KNOW

Following isolated incidents tied to a federal law enforcement operation in the state of Jalisco (over 2,000 km from Cancún), some localized disturbances occurred across several Mexican states, including Quintana Roo.

Governor Mara Lezama has issued an official statement confirming the following verified facts:

✈️ All four international airports in Quintana Roo are operating normally. No flights have been canceled. Any delays are weather-related, originating in the United States.

🏨 The Cancún Hotel Zone has not been closed. Reports to the contrary are false.

🚌 Schools, transport, and tourism infrastructure are fully operational. ADO buses and the Maya Train are running as usual.

👮 More than 10,000 federal, state, and municipal security personnel have been deployed across the state as a precautionary measure.

✅ No civilian injuries have been reported.

🔎 Confirmed incidents are limited and contained: a small number of vehicle fires in isolated locations, and minor property incidents — none near tourist zones or hotels. Nine individuals have been arrested.
